ROTAVATION
Rotavation is the direct application of tractor engine power to
soil preparation in establishing the ideal growth conditions for seedlings and
seeds.
The working of the soil by Rotavation gives control over weeds
and serves to mix fertilizer, lime, crop residues and other organic matter with
the soil, producing good physical conditions for composting, formation of humus
and rapid seed germination.
Compared with other methods of soil preparation (disc or
mouldboard ploughs), Rotavators provide a superior and even soil mixing rate
throughout the tilling depth, allowing the soil with the best structure to
remain in the surface layers, where it is most needed.
The texture of rotavated soil absorbs and retains up to three
times as much moisture as conventionally plough soil. This is particularly valuable during dry seasons and in areas
with low rainfall. Surface run-off
and soil erosion is considerably minimized on rotavated land.
Fine, medium or coarse tilth can be obtained to suit the crop,
the soil and the climate in accordance with recognized principles of
agricultural soil management. L or
C blades are mounted on the rotor in a scroll, thereby reducing tractor power
requirement.

Model MHR 16 is available in 3 standard working widths (125, 155 and 180 cm) and is suitable on small farms in paddy fields and in cash crop agriculture for primary and secondary tillage. With optional bedformer kit it is equally useful for furrowing
and preparing dry-land seedbeds for vegetable farming. Compact and lightweight with low horsepower requirement. Bearings and other bought-in components are sourced from
renowed international manufacturers. |

This
extra-heavy-duty rotavators performs excellently in demanding conditions
and is ideal for built-on combinations such as Ripper, Furrower
or Crumble Roller. Side drive through heavy-duty Roller Chain 17 ton breaking
load with externally adjustable tensioning skid. Rotor drive us supported by large ball bearings and face
seals. Protection of
tractor and transmission against shock-load ensured by heavy-duty safety
clutch. Cultivating depth is
adjustable raising/lowering the side skids. Multispeed pick-off gears allow four alternative rotor speeds (540 PTO) |
