ROAD  EQUIPMENT

Tractors are common in the fleet of equipment used by road contractors – whether for highways, rural or field roads.  HOWARD’s Road Implements are fitted with CAT. II linkage for rear mounting and are equally suitable for main construction jobs and for minor agricultural road maintenance.

ROADBED SOILMIXER

Unimix increase soil stability and strength by uniformly mixing fine and coarse materials throughout entire mixing depth.

On-site stabilizing of roadbeds for better bearing load, by fine mixing of soil and gravel with additives, cement, lime, bitumen etc.

        Unimix must be allowed to “float” over obstacles (rock etc.).  It is therefore essential that no downward pressure be applied from the tractor hydraulics or lift rods.

        Do a test-run of 3-5 meters before commencing work.  The implement will by nature of its design work itself down to the desired working depth (max. 18 cm) as pre-set via the adjustable sideskid.

LEVELLING BUCKET

Functional design with first-class material and workmanship HOWARD’s Levelling Bucket HMB 210 is a useful contractor’s implement for road building levelling construction sites and quarry work.

MULTISET GRADER

HMG is a heavy-duty implement, designed with multiple features such as vertical tilt for ditching; multiset locking 15° – 30° – 45° L/R, and off-set positioning on both sides of the tractor.  HMG can swivel 360° and can as such also be set for reverse levelling.  Due to design restrictions, however, this should be done in loose material only, as otherwise breakages may occur.  HMG is equally useful for private owners, estates as well as for contractors – for such tasks as road maintenance, slurry scraping, landscaping and ditching.

ROADSWEEPER

HOWARD’s Roadsweeper HTS 180 is a PTO driven brush for rear tractor-mounting.  It can be angled left and right, and comes with dust flap and parking leg as standard features.  Power is transmitted via universal driveshaft through an oil bath gearbox, transmission shaft and chain and sprocket drive.  Height is easily adjusted via two swivel castor wheels.  Easily changeable polypropylene circular bristle discs (49).  Mixture of alternating Wire/PP bristles available as optional.
